Use the list below to put your learning into action.
Action Steps:
- After reviewing all the sample reports and cases in the module, choose a client, family member or yourself to assess.
- Order a complete thyroid panel and any additional tests you believe are indicated (ie cholesterol, vitamin D, comprehensive wellness panel, homocysteine, Vitamin A).
- Using the step by step process revealed in the videos and the charts provides, evaluate the serum lab tests for markers of thyroid function/dysfunction, and get the feel of integrating the test results with a history of any symptoms.
- Make notes about what pattern of thyroid function/dysfunction you assess from the lab work and history.
- Using the nutrition/pattern chart provided as a guideline, create a corresponding 4-6 week thyroid protocol with appropriate lifestyle, dietary, and supplement recommendations.
- Share your protocol in the Facebook group and encourage discussion with your colleagues.
- Reassess in 4-6 weeks using the symptom scorecard and temperature chart.
- Tweak program as needed.
- Use the Master Health Tracker (or similar client tracker) to record the initial and follow-up test results as well other history findings of importance, diet habits and your protocol.
