INE learning objectivesAs you work through the materials, your goals by the end will be to:

  • Understand the presenting client complaints of essential mineral imbalance so you can pinpoint areas of imbalance to be corrected.
  • Understand the chronic impact mineral deficiency has on physical, mental, and emotional health, so you can support your clients in making targeted diet and lifestyle changes to correct imbalances and deficiencies.
  • Know how to assess mineral status via the use of questionnaires, interviews, routine blood chemistry, specialized blood testing, hair, urine, saliva tests, etc. so that you can create a customized protocol to improve each client’s mineral status.
  • Be able to identify the physical exam signs of mineral deficiencies so you can monitor for improvement without the expense of frequent lab tests.
  • Know which lab tests are good indicators for assessing which minerals in the body and how to order these lab tests for clients, so you can more accurately determine the next best steps for your client.
  • Understand how to interpret various lab markers for mineral status and be able to identify the markers for mineral deficiency, overload, or toxicity, so that you can monitor your client’s progress over time.
  • Be familiar with the foods and nutrients that support specific mineral status; so that you can guide your clients to make diet and lifestyle choices that will support mineral balance and keep them in vibrant health.
