As you work through the materials, your goals by the end will be to:

  • Understand the effects of neurotransmitters on all the body systems, so you can motivate and inspire your clients to focus on achieving optimal brain health by identifying and correcting neurotransmitter imbalances.
  • Understand the number of conditions that can indicate an imbalance in brain chemistry – depression, sluggishness, anxiety, difficulty focusing, memory issues – so that you can recognize these symptoms in your clients.
  • Know the important questions to ask clients, so that you can help them to assess their current brain and neurotransmitter health
  • Become familiar with important brain components including the pre-frontal cortex, cortex, cerebellum, neurons, synapses, neurotransmitters, and myelin sheaths, and the unique function of each part, so that you can explain basic brain function to help your clients enjoy improved focus, memory, and mood.
  • Review the most important brain chemicals for maintaining balance and optimum health, so you can empower your clients to optimize their mental and emotional health.
  • Be able to assess your client’s general brain function, serotonin, dopamine, GABA, and acetylcholine, so you can guide them to balance their brain chemistry.
  • Discover which foods, nutrients, and herbs are the most important for helping to restore and maintain optimum brain function, so that you can empower your clients to choose foods that will help restore brain and neurotransmitter balance.
  • Be familiar with common brain disorders, such as bipolar disease, and schizophrenia, and understand the connection to neurotransmitter balance, so you can guide your clients to the lifestyle activities and eating habits that can help them recover from conditions such as these.
