INE learning objectivesAs you work through the materials, your goals by the end will be to:

  • Understand the physiology and function of the organs involved in the urinary tract, so that you can explain their impact upon overall detoxification and health to your clients.
  • Understand the role of the kidneys, bladder, and urethra and what can go wrong – bladder infections, kidney infections, incontinence, glomerular nephritis, kidney failure – so that you can recognize symptoms of urinary tract dysfunction in your clients.
  • Become familiar with the chemistry and optimal pH of the urinary tract, and how the body’s own filtration system works, so that you can be aware of any symptoms of impaired Phase I detoxification in your clients.
  • Understand the impact of proper nutrition upon renal function, and be able to help your clients choose the right foods and nutrients to maintain optimal kidney function, and overall energy levels.
  • Understand the relationship that conditions such as interstitial cystitis and kidney stones have to elevated levels of oxalates in the body, and know how to test for oxalate sensitivity, so that you can more effectively get to the root cause of your clients’ painful symptoms.
  • Explain the dangers that OTC drugs and other substances can pose in damaging the kidneys, so that you can guide your clients to make educated choices for their overall health care.
  • Be familiar and know how to interpret markers in a routine CBC and urine collection lab that can indicate impairments in kidney function, or issues in the bladder or urinary tract, so that you can monitor your client’s progress towards wellness.
  • Know which whole foods, herbs, and supplements are essential for urinary tract support, so that you can help your clients create a healing diet and lifestyle.
